In Fum, Slai's Birthday Present (open to anyone)

[It's got all the promise of being a nice day. Despite being mid-winter, the sun is shining and it's not too cold out. There's still drifts of snow outside and it never fails to amuse Raine watching the tiny plant tops of the Lilties being the only thing visible over the snow. Today's for celebrating though, as it's Slai's birthday and she is just as much a part of the family now as any of the other children.

Raine is hauled up in the kitchen putting the finishing touches on the refreshments and icing the cake, while waiting for friends and family to amble in.

Then she hears it. A soft baaaah that's just a little bit too loud to be outside her window.

And she knows exactly who's to blame for it without even asking.]

[After months, years, of deliberating, Ceodore's made up his mind. True to form, he's not quite gotten over his comparing himself to his parents, though at least not so much in an unhealthy way anymore. No, instead he's realized it. His birthday is in nine days. He could do this, and have the bragging rights that he did it younger than his father had. Yes, quite satisfactory.

So without really considering how his wife is going to take his brilliant idea, knowing she'll have to stay behind, he trots off to find her.]

Hey, I'm thinking about taking a trip to that Citadel of Trials. Anyone else game?

[That's right. Ceodore's finally decided to go try for a sparklearmor job. Make of that what you will and be amazed.]

[It is fitting that she should come to this place, a place of life, on the pulse of the world itself. It is her own divine power that has drawn Cosmos to Gaia, the seeds she had planted within her warriors to coalesce into a crystal. This is not World B, yet somehow, she can sense that she belongs here. Here at the base of the Iifa Tree where worlds are knit together in the coursing stream of life, shimmering green below her. But it is more than being at the cradle of life that makes this world, Zidane's world, feel right to her. There are pieces of others here as well, she can feel them, different as are each of her own chosen. However, not even this is what feels familiar to her. Somehow, this world... is the world she originated from, before deification, before the endless cycles of war.

For whatever purpose, she has come; thus she reaches out to her own, far flung around this world though they be:]

An Announcement

This isn't meant to interrupt the reunion shenanigans, since some of them are still going on. This is just an announcement!

This musebox is far from used up! The one-year anniversary may be done, but several people have expressed interest in continue to roleplay using Gaia as a setting. Therefore, this is a formal notice that anyone can feel free to start using this as a musebox for whatever you want! Playing out things from endgame, or characters that you used to play here, maybe even just throwing characters into the setting that you never had. Just have at!

And, if you still want to do things with the actual reunion thread, but didn't get to earlier, feel free! People will still tag around.

OOC Mingling

Hey, everyone! Guess what? It's officially been a year since Time and Tides finally came to a close. I'm sure it's been a long and busy year for all of us, but hey, all the more reason to celebrate it with a little nostalgia for the fun things we all did together, right?

This post is for out of character interactions of any sort. If you feel like you missed the first OOC meetup, feel free to use this one for the same purpose! Or, you could use this moment to link to your favorite threads or events of the game, or even just to talk about them. Someone ought to remember what you mean, after all. You can also, dare I say it, use this place to talk about the games you're in now. Enable people for their old characters! Talk about the new ones they play. Give a subtle wink and a nudge when you mention that awesome new game you're playing in. Get that one friend's new contact info. Plot for threads in the IC reunion post, figure out what everyone's been doing over the past year ICly.. Most of all, though, this post is just a place to hang out and have fun.

The Gathering

Summary: It's been a year since Chaos was defeated and the world was saved. So, naturally, it's time for a reunion party, right?
Location: Lindblum Grand Castle
Date: November 1st, 1806

About two weeks ago, an invitation was sent out via skyphone to all of the sky people of Gaia- and a select few natives, too. It invited everyone to Lindblum, for a one year anniversary celebration of Garland's defeat. Such an event couldn't pass by without a celebration, after all. Yesterday, airships had been sent out to the far corners of the world to pick up everyone and bring them to Lindblum. Even the most reticent and party-hating of adventurers won't be able to avoid this. It is a worldwide celebration. Besides, it's best to celebrate with friends.

The Lindblum castle is covered in decorations for the occasion. Most are plain and themed for the upcoming winter, though for some reason, moogles feature rather prominently. Tables set around the ballroom are covered with snacks and foods, from snowmen to more moogles to- are those cookies shaped like Garland on a chobobo? ... Maybe it's best not to ask.

In the center of the ballroom is a clear space for dancing, and musicians sit off to the side and play for those who want to dance. To the side, there are tables for those who are looking for a simple conversation or who are taking time to eat. And, of course, for those who want to get away from everything for a while, there are always places in Lindblum to slip away to. But why would you want to do that, when everyone is here?

'Sup, everyone? This is Silk, one of your former assistant moderators (I know, I know, I still can't believe I was either.)

Anyway, I realize that this is coming more than a week early, since the official one year anniversary will be November 1st. Things will definitely happen on that day- I'm considering an official IC "it's been one year" event with all the lovely things that would entail, as well as a post for OOC nostalgia, to fill with links and "remember when Relm drew that Dragoon's guide to happiness?" and things like that. In short, there's lots of stuff to come! It will be fun and awesome. Right now, though, it's been a year, and that's a pretty long time, more than three hundred days. I'm sure you all have been doing tons and tons of stuff. So I think it would be great if everyone popped in for a recap! Say your name, who you played, their LJ username and the DW one if it's different. If you were a mod, mention when so that we can applaud you for your immense awesomeness. Maybe talk about other games you've played at since, if you're still doing RP. Maybe talk about your new characters! Maybe give everyone an internet hug. Basically, just reconnect and have fun!
