The Gathering
IC
Characters: EVERYBODY
Summary: It's been a year since Chaos was defeated and the world was saved. So, naturally, it's time for a reunion party, right?
Location: Lindblum Grand Castle
Date: November 1st, 1806
Style: Up to you!
About two weeks ago, an invitation was sent out via skyphone to all of the sky people of Gaia- and a select few natives, too. It invited everyone to Lindblum, for a one year anniversary celebration of Garland's defeat. Such an event couldn't pass by without a celebration, after all. Yesterday, airships had been sent out to the far corners of the world to pick up everyone and bring them to Lindblum. Even the most reticent and party-hating of adventurers won't be able to avoid this. It is a worldwide celebration. Besides, it's best to celebrate with friends.
The Lindblum castle is covered in decorations for the occasion. Most are plain and themed for the upcoming winter, though for some reason, moogles feature rather prominently. Tables set around the ballroom are covered with snacks and foods, from snowmen to more moogles to- are those cookies shaped like Garland on a chobobo? ... Maybe it's best not to ask.
In the center of the ballroom is a clear space for dancing, and musicians sit off to the side and play for those who want to dance. To the side, there are tables for those who are looking for a simple conversation or who are taking time to eat. And, of course, for those who want to get away from everything for a while, there are always places in Lindblum to slip away to. But why would you want to do that, when everyone is here?

"It was tempting to stay up on the roof with the dragons..."
Solitary heights are clearly better than parties.

"You've seen the dragons all day. It's been a year since you've gotten a chance to meet with the people here. If you're that eager to see Zephyr, show her off to them. Gods know she's grown to deserve it."

Hence the angsting, it's his way of commemorating things, thinking it over, considering how far they've come since.
"Your dragon has grown fast, as well." It hadn't been too long since he'd seen his father for some dragoon-y related things, but still, everytime he sees his father's dragon, he notices the difference.

"One year past is a special time. In future years I imagine everyone will be more free to celebrate in their own ways," Ricard says. "Next year, I imagine we'll take the dragons flying, those of us that raised them. What do you think of that?" He says it, even though he thinks he already knows Kain's answer.

"I'd like that." After all, in many ways it was the dragons that saved Kain, Zephyr and Reis both. They'd given him things to live for in his darkest times. So it would be fitting to commemorate the day in flight. "I'd like that a great deal. A way to truly celebrate what the dragoons will have become..."
He even almost-smiles a bit, a subtle reaction as always.

"I'd say we already have a symbol of what the dragoons have become. Zephyr is a rather good icon. Better than Boreas, certainly, for all that he's growing." Ricard smiles. "But a group of us flying would be impressive, I admit. I look forward to the day it comes."

"...Yet Boreas has come a long way and will achieve the same greatness. All of Zephyr's children will. Her blood carries great strength within it." Kain thought of the vision of all of them soaring the heavens together. "That day will be the greatest for the dragoons, a true sign that our glory is restored."
